Recent developments in the construction machinery

  1. Hangcha Group announced on September 18th its plan to establish Hangcha Malaysia Limited in Malaysia with a registered capital of 2 million US dollars, holding 100% of the company’s shares. At the same time, the company plans to establish Hangcha Group Thailand Manufacturing Company in Thailand with a registered capital of 20 million US dollars, also holding 100% of the shares.
  2. It is forecasted that the import of Russian construction machinery will increase by nearly 8% in 2024, with over 150 construction machinery brands from China, compared to only 37 brands in 2022.
  3. On September 10th, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission announced that a subsidiary of John Deere, Witgen Thailand, has been fined 9.9 million US dollars.
  4. At the 2024 Indonesia International Construction Machinery Exhibition from September 11th to 14th, Sany Group secured orders worth 720 million US dollars.
  5. Tadano of Japan announced a cash acquisition of Manitex International, a U.S. manufacturer of truck-mounted cranes, boom trucks, and specialized industrial equipment, for approximately 223 million US dollars, including 112 million US dollars in net debt. In May 2018, Tadano acquired a 14.9% stake in Manitex International for 32 million US dollars.
